"We met with many transportation vendors, and the ability for us to purchase Transfinder in June and be up and running by September was amazing!
There are so many advantages to having Transfinder:
One is the adaptability of the software in that it matches other Windows programs. For example, if you work with Microsoft Word or Access, the commands are so similar that it is very easy to learn. The same basic concepts are shared, and make understanding the software much less troublesome.
The mileage calculation tool -- there's nobody that beats it! In 4.5 minutes the students' home-to-school mileages were generated for all 2,300 students! WOW!
It's so simple to geocode the students too, whether it's pinning them on the map or not. The students appear where they're supposed to appear.
Tech support -- I think it’s important to know that when you call, somebody's getting back to you. A maximum of a 24-hour return-call time is impressive, but usually it’s the same day! And the ability to have modem support through pcANYWHERE has been helpful as well.
Map editing is very easy, too.
