ALBANY, N.Y. – The Albany Capital Center (ACC) along with the Albany County Convention & Visitors Bureau, continue to bring new business to the area with events such as Transfinder’s 9th Annual Client Summit and 30th Anniversary Celebration, scheduled for April 17-19, 2018.

“We are seeing increasing interest in Albany as a meeting destination,” said Michele Vennard, president and CEO, Albany County Convention & Visitors Bureau. “The completion of the Albany Capital Center, the modernization of the Times Union Center, and major remodeling at a number of our primary hotels are making Albany a very attractive destination for meeting business.”

Transfinder’s Annual Client Summit, which was previously in Austin, Texas in 2017, is expected to attract nearly 300 school district transportation professionals from 48 states, five Canadian providences and the Middle East. The goal of the three-day conference, which coincides with Transfinder’s 30th anniversary, is for their attendees to learn and network with their peers. The event is projected to book 475 hotel room nights in the city of Albany.

For 2018, the conference is adding more advanced training for their highest-skilled users as well as the addition of a training component in conjunction with the National Association for Pupil Transportation. Courses are designed by the Transfinder training team for all levels of users, from new to advanced. The summit is also an opportunity for Transfinder’s clients to learn directly from the company’s expert employees about how to ensure maximum efficiency within their school districts’ transportation departments through the use of Transfinder technology.

“Our Annual Client Summit is a great opportunity for our clients learn more about our solutions and meet their peers in other transportation departments from across the country to share ideas,” said Antonio Civitella, President and CEO of Transfinder Corporation. “The environment is one of education, comradery and support. Our evenings are filled with fun events to help our clients enjoy their time together and with the Transfinder family. Our clients always leave ACS encouraged by what they’ve learned and uplifted by the friendships they’ve made with Transfinder employees and fellow transportation colleagues.”

“We’re thrilled to be bringing so many new and unique events to the Capital Region,” said Doug McClaine, general manager, Albany Capital Center, “With the ACC’s adaptability, we are able to accommodate really any kind of event, any size. After a phenomenal opening year, we have really hit our stride and we are looking forward to welcoming Transfinder in 2018.”

Transfinder’s Annual Client Summit is one of several events scheduled to be held at the ACC in 2018 which is expected to bring 50,670 attendees to the Capital Region as well as a projection of 7,557 booked hotel room nights next year.
