Chambersburg Area School District (CASD) says busing info won’t be sent out via mail and ONLY on new app
From The Tri-State Alert / By Anthony Panasiewicz / June 15, 2026

CHAMBERSBURG- All tristate schools (and certainly their students!) are in summer mode, but that doesn’t stop parents from already getting set for another school year in August and September!

Ahead of those new outfit purchases, pencil sharpening sessions, and planning, the Chambersburg Area School District (PA) Transportation Department says it preparing to launch a new app for parents and guardians to get information on their student’s busing situation.

Beginning this year, student transportation information will be provided ONLY through the new Stopfinder app. Bus information will not be sent by email, postcard, or through the parent portal.

Bus information is expected to be released in mid-August. Additional instructions will be shared with families when Stopfinder access becomes available.

Stopfinder, the district says, is an easy-to-use mobile app that allows families to view and manage student transportation information. Through the app, parents/guardians will be able to:

  • View their student’s bus schedule and transportation information.
  • Access transportation details from an iOS or Android device.
  • View multiple children through one account.
  • Share a student’s transportation schedule with approved family members or caregivers.
  • Access information securely, with permission granted through the school transportation department.
  • Use the app at no cost to families.

Families are encouraged to review the Stopfinder Q&A page on the CASD Transportation website ahead of 2026-27 school year information being released soon!
